Just moved in to a temporary apartment while we house-hunt in upstate NY and was unpacking my books when I happened upon my copy of Brian Froud's Good Faeries/Bad Faeries. It never really occurred to me what a treasure trove of ideas and inspiration this book can be for a Fey-heavy game. I've been wanting to run a game like that for a long time and I've discovered that this book could be my "Monster Manual". I'll have to read through it more and take a stab at burning a few of the Faeries (I'm not holding out much hope, given my previous monster burning attempts). But I just wanted to find out if anyone else has used this book in any of their games before.

What I think I love about it is that the Good faeries have a touch of darkness to them and the Bad faeries have a touch of light to them. I'm very excited about this churning and bubbling idea forming in my brain. Thoughts and comments more than welcome.

Can't say that I've seen that one, but the faerie book for Ars Magica 3e and Castle Falkenstein's Memoirs of Auberon of Faerie also provide that same kind of approach.

The seelie/unseelie issue is that both are aliens, and just cause they happen to be seelie doesn't mean they are any more likely to actually understand what's in a given human's best interests...

Then again, I like my fae way over the top...
