RP's for spells.

I don't remember where we saw it but my first player to use a spell caster found two different sets of instructions for purchasing spells. One was a cost per OB and the other was a cost per syllable. Just wondering what the official line was on that.

The cost is based on Obstacle: 2 pts per flat Obstacle point, 4 per open Obstacle point, and whenever there is a range, as per Mage Light, take the average and times that by two to get the cost.

Do your player a favor and tell him there's only one spell he really needs, and that's Persuasion (though Arcane Kindness is nice too). :lol:

To protect himself, it's worth it to get The Sense, Eldritch Shield and Turn Aside the Blade to round things out. Everything else is negotiable.
