Or are you constantly GM'ing?
Are people intimidated having you at the table as a player? I suppose that makes you the ultimate rules lawyer, huh? Considering, you invented them.
I guess this question is for anyone out there who has published their own game. Does publishing a game doom you to a life of only ever seeing the charts on the GM screen and not the pretty pictures on the front?
Bob Goat (this means you) - do you ever get to play any CoS?
I got to play a few sessions this summer. Just as it started getting interesting, the GM bailed.
feh.
I used to be a VERY bad player. Rules lawyer, bully, and all around ass. Nearly all of my characters died from gunshot wounds to the head!
But I'm getting better. I swear I'm getting better.
Either way, I'm a GM at heart. I really really like to run games. I get a huge amount of satisfaction from it. Playing is more like playtesting for me, interesting and useful, but not what I'm after.
Though I do loves me some Marvel Superheroes! That's I game I'll play anytime but never run (evar again).

Captain America?
No, no...too over-the-top righteous.
Spiderman?
No, I'll bet everybody wants to play him.
The Thing?
Nightcrawler?
Toad?
I play a german superhero robot from the future named Dieter. He's slightly effiminate, but not gay. He leads the Sentient Robot's Rights Foundation in lower Manhattan -- and also fights the evil of the Disco Dominar, aka Arachnokat.
He's super strong, can fly with his rocket feet, can see through disguises and spray you with robot dust so he can see through your eyes.
He also has a sidekick robot named Toastie who can create Zombies of Feeble rank.
His secretary is named Crabbie Patty -- she has crab-claws for hands. Dieter built her a special phone and typewriter so she could be his secretary.
Oh, and he leads the premier superhero team in the world: The Defeaters.

Does he resemble Mike Myers?
Does he resemble Mike Myers?
Not in the least bit, but he does where a black turtleneck and his tag line is: "Now is the time in the Defeaters when we Defeat you."

Luke has played BW lots, but he sucks. He always sidetracks and then takes over the story. He tries to GM even though he's just a player.
However, maybe it's because we never played a game using the group-creation method. I have a feeling he would be much better in those kind of campaigns. He seems bored otherwise!

Well, he'd be the ultimate rules lawyer.
GM: You take a B12 hit.
Abzu: No, I don't. There's a rule that if you use robot dust, the opponent is +5 obstacle to hit.
GM: No there isn't.
Abzu: it's in the revision.
GM: No it isn't.
Abzu: It is now.
GM: Grrr.... ok, he missed you.

Hey,
I freaking never get to play. I try and I try and the bastards always give, "It's your game dude." I know it is my game, but damn I would like to play it more than a handful of playtests...
However, I think it also has to do with the fact that three of the four players can't find their way out of a paper cup let alone GM and the fourth... well he GMs a Eberon game that I have fled from in recent days to, well play Burning Wheel...

It must be hard being friends with an award-winning game designer.
