After Gen Con the other two guys I went with had a ton of new games and no immediate group with which to try it out with. So, we formed a Tuesday Night Gaming Group with rotating GM's, each of us running a different game each week.
Next week, I will run this game as a sort of quick mini-game and then set up a Sorcerer game.
We've already played Burning Wheel but we're eager to play again.
After reading the game's pitch one player chose Alpha and another wants to play a kind of former-scavenging mongrel who hates the cities. I'll give JJ Hellborn and meet with Jeff to make his mongrel.
In the parking lot, on the way out to the cars, we discussed where the pack wanted to go hunt. They talked about hunting a modern military squad, British Big Game hunters in Africa. I mentioned that during the 1800's in the American west certain railroad companies and cattle barons had actual wanted posters for certain wolves.
So, next week the World Tree Pack goes to the frontier where lesser wolves are being driven from their land and hunted into near extinction.
Great Wolf packs have hunted demons in the hells, on the shore of the great frozen lake. They have entered the streets of cities, taking the soft urban folk before the city watch could muster. The Frost Giant's baby was taken from its crib by a pack much like yours.
You are a proud member of the World Tree Pack and all of the nine worlds are your hunting grounds. You hunt, eat, howl and piss your way through dark groves that link with the primordial forest at the heart of creation from which you can prowl anywhere within imagining.
The season is changing. It is time to take the pack to a different world.
