Call of Iron (Ob 3, 2 Actions)
Effect: With this spell, a wizard can grab objects made of metal with his mystical might, and call them to him (for instance, a sword). Pulling something to you is a Power test, where Power = Will. For example, wresting a metal weapon from an enemy's hand would be an opposed Power test, your Will vs. the enemy's Power.

Would the casting sorceror get a will test out of this spell, since it would assumedly be important whether or not you managed to rip the sword out of the guard's hand? Assuming I have a will of 6, so I can roll six dice, and he manages to roll 5 successes on his power roll, would I get a difficult check?

Yep. You got it right. Incidentally, this spell is now in Burning Wheel Revised. You can find it at the top of page 173 of the Character Burner.

NYeh heheheh. I can just imagine trying to get the challenging through this method. "Well boys, the jig is up. That giant couldn't be persuaded to give me his sword, and incidentally I have an important meeting with my oral surgeon! What say you we meet back at the inn?"
