Hey Luke and Gang,
I have been working on a giant mecha/battletech conversion for Burning Empires for a few weeks now. Something I have done is create a packet for my game with all of the lifepaths, including the ones I am taking directly from BE (i.e. Commune, Freemen, etc.). So there is effectively copyrighted stuff in there. I mainly putting this together to save my players time of flipping between books and it just keeps it consistent.
I have done quite a bit of system design myself, but it is obviously drawing a lot from BE. I would like to share it with people but, I want to do the right thing and not distribute something that would harm Luke or Burning Wheel as a whole.
I would like to know to what extent distribution of a document like this would upset the crew over at Burning Wheel. I don't want to piss anyone off, but I also want to be able to share this stuff on my website.
If Luke or someone else could give me some insight into what would stir up trouble.
