Ok,

this my first monster burning.... and I'm looking for peer review/feedback.

THE KRAKEN

Concept: in our setting (a frozen land with seas of ice) the Krakens' Sea is a place of mystery. Nobody has seen a kraken in generations. But now, our heroes has to fight the terrible creature of their nightmares. The BITs of the characters made the kraken like a Moby Dick, a one and only creature they have to kill.

I'm still working on the BITs of the kraken...

Stature Gigantic
Squid Body
Beak, Tentacles, Suckers, Ink
Camouflage, Fish Eye, Fish Lung, Natural Armor - leathery skin
Flexible (cosmetic trait)

I have some doubts about take the Brute trait.... I don't want the kraken (who will fight alone against a group of five characters (5-6 LP + no magic)) to be incapacitated in a few rounds...

And I don't know what's better: Fearsome Beast, Aura of Terror or Horrific Aura.... Can you help me?

STATS & ATTRIBUTES
will: B6, per: B4, agi: B5, speed: B7, po: B9, for: B9
Steel: B8 , Health: B7, Ref: B5; MW: B16

Possible skills: Brawling, Intimidation, Stealthy, Swimming (is necessary?), Ice-wise, Ship-wise (16-20 points)

Another question: how you calculate the length of natural weapons?

My monbu is two miles away from me right now, but I'd totally say give it the brute trait. Also maybe shift things around a bit so that it has a grey shade mortal wound. If you're making a 40-foot mythical beast of killing, I'd totally make it hard to straight up kill and depending on how you do it a grey MW is doable without making it do lots more damage.

In terms of natural weapons, I think you just make them the length that makes sense, so the beak will be shortest and the tentacles will probably be either long or longest depending on how you think they stack up against a pike or spear (basically, does the kraken position like a freak or just really well?).

Uhh, other things... I'd go with fearsome beast unless it's magical (though I can't remember off the top of my head how those traits work so grain of salt). Also I'd take savage attack as your primary combat still instead of brawling (take both, brawling forks into SA) because that will give you more flexability in terms of maneuvers.

The various traits should give a length, which is modified by size. Default is shortest.

Definitely give it a grey MW, Brute, Hands of Stone (or whatever), and buff up the natural armor. It's a kraken! Take a look at the material damage rules to gauge how much this thing should be able to dish out.

I would give it all the Traits and stats it needs to be one badass mofo. It destroys ships for breakfast! Just be sure to warn the players what they're going up against.

I hope I'm not too late...

Give it Extra Arms, Night Eyed, Aura of Fear and Speed Multiplier ×7, along with the stuff you listed in the original description.
Length of the Tentacles? Longest. Krakens are fierce.
I'd leave out the Hands of Stone and keep armor as it is, but give it Grey Power and Grey Forte for a Grey Mortal wound, along with Brute and Devastator.

Oddly enough, Swimming isn't a Skill, but a Training for Spiders. Use Forte (for endurance) and Speed (for chases); but a Kraken will most likely get a bonus

I'm sorry to tell you that my first kraken is dead.

It was also my second Fight! and I was a little overwhelmed and I didn't play the kraken at full efficiency....

Next one will be better! :rolleyes:

Hrm, sounds like you need to go the route of JAWS or THE BEAST and have the first encounter only have been with the "baby." Momma's soon to come for revenge.

Nop. I was afraid to make a TPK... and the PCs go out of the Fight unharmed! :confused:
