View Full Version : ORCS!
'ello Me 'ardies,
I've posted a pdf of the revised Orc chapter from the new character burner. You can download it here (http://www.burningwheel.org/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewdownload&cid=8).
It's still in draft stage, let me know what you think.

Careful, BGD, or someone's going to think you're eagerly pouring over every detail...

If I am, it's only because it's important to know your enemy! That's why I've seen the Dungeons and Dragons movie 13 times -- so as to better tear it apart!
Stupid goddamn movie. How come there are multiple beholder guards at the castle, when it clearly states in the Monster Manual that the number appearing is 1, eh? Can you justify that?

The Numb trait says you can ignore the effects of Superficial wounds. One effect of Superficial wounds is that three combine to cause -1D. Therefore, do Numb Orcs ignore this?
I don't believe so, 3 Superficials are the equivalent of one Light. In the Monster Burner, under the Numb listing, it says 3 Superficials still equal -1D.

Gee, Thor, did you actually consult the rules? Egads! What a thought.
;)

If one didn't have the MonBu, one wouldn't realize this. Consider repeating that effect under the Numb trait in the ChaBu.

NEVER! NO!
You shall have to pay for the Monbu (or look at this website. Thor, stop posting all those rules! you're costing me money!) in order to get the stats for that trait!
You mean to tell me you're running this show without a Monster Burner?
yeesh.

::pounds head against wall three times::
::repeats::
"Pete is always right. Pete is always right. Pete is always right."
Gets back to work.

You have a good point! I missed it in my reading.

Unless they familiarize themselves with Black Barbarians LP's, there is a Numb trait out there.
