We're gearing up to do our Chapter End Trait Vote and since our campaign has largely been on display, we thought it would be interesting to get some objective, outside perspective on the characters. So in addition to our own internal Trait Vote, we thought we'd solicit the BW community for some feedback. Bear in mind that not everything that happens at the table makes it to the fiction pieces so you're not getting the "whole" picture. All that being said, tell us what you'd vote for removing or adding (current traits follow):
Raemos of Steel Hill
Massive Stature
Resigned to Death
Tough as Nails
Brutal
Mind-numbing Labor
Skeld the Joyous
Remote
Esoteric
Broken Man
Booming Voice
Resigned to Death
Charismatic
Sense of Humor
Kemlin Vargo
Reincarnated
Dreamer
Keen Sight: Piercing Gaze
Rabble-Rouser
Fortitude
Man of Few Words
Indrez
Yeah, that's right. The NPC's getting some traits!

Have been reading this story and loving the characters. Am surprised you haven't gotten much in the way of responses. Nevertheless, I'll vote--which votes you may ignore if you wish.
Raemos of Steel Hill
I vote "Keep" for: Massive Structure, Resigned to Death, Tough as Nails and Brutal.
I vote "Lose It" for: Mind-numbing Labor.
This guy seems to grow "up" more than out. He seems to be refining his current self--becoming pure Raemos, as opposed to adding more "hooks" and personality features.
Skeld the Joyous
I vote "Keep" for :Booming Voice, Resigned to Death, Charismatic, and Sense of Humor.
I vote "Lose It" for the rest of the listed traits. This guy, at least in the write-ups, seems to be becoming the "soul" of the piece--mostly due to his charisma and complete commitment to the situation. The other guys don't yet seem to have a handle on him, and it comes out in the write-ups as a very real situation -- which I'm enjoying. I certainly hope you guys are having as much fun at the table.
Kemlin Vargo
I vote "Keep" for: Reincarnated, Dreamer, Keen Sight: Piercing Gaze, Fortitude and Man of Few Words.
I vote "Lose It" for Rabble Rouser.
I, by the way, LOVE this guy. I love the whole, "I'm a Paladin" ethic he's got going. I love that he's devout in a godless world. I love that he's ruthless, but not yet altogether ruined. I find myself coming back time and again to see where he's going--and whether he'll survive the journey.
I don't know how your own voting will turn out; but that's how I see it.
What is this? No love for the Trait votes people (excepting of course ShawnLStroud)? Too busy in the Arena?
Come one, give us some love!
Keith
You want a revision or a trait vote. Not all of us can be the leatherman of game design/publishing that you are, Keith.
EDIT: Get rid of Broken Man, already. Sheesh. It's a JOKE! A JOKE, I TELL YA.

I rather be called ironman of game design/publishing if you don't mind...
Yeah, Broken Man needs to be torn out of the revision too damn it. Broken Man... geez...

If you only knew how talented the real Broken Man was, you'd understand why he needed to be publicly mocked. And, stupid me, I never thought anyone was actually going to want to play a performer or whatever that was.
I took all those lifepaths out. There's just five lifepaths: guy with a sword, guy who can cast spells, guy who can roleplay really well, guy who sneaks around and breaks rules/game and the guy no one wants to play.
That distills it down, doesn't it?
How about Intimidating for Raemos? He scares me.
How about Cold Blooded for Kemlin? He seemed to do an awful lot of killin', all rather casually... Knife in the back, knife in the back, knife in the skull, knife in the throat...
For Skeld, I'd vote of Remote and Broken Man. Keep Esoteric and upgrade Sense of Humor to a call-on (once per game) for any one social skill for which Keith can crack an applicable joke (and break the mood IC).
How's that?

Okay I promised a vote so here it goes.
Raemos
Lose: Mind Numbing Labor
Gain: Actually replace Resigned to Death with Aura of Martyrdom (I sense it)
Skeld
Lose: Broken Man
Gain: Louis Wu (with all the laughing he does I can't see him drooling)
Kemlin
Lose: Man of Few words (he's being doing a lot of negotiating)
Gain: Cold Blooded (I agree with abzu on this one)
Indrez
Give him Haunted (he is the last of 10 serving Raemos) but also give him Tenacious (for the same reason)
Gain: Louis Wu (with all the laughing he does I can't see him drooling)
I looooovee this suggestion.

Page 182 of the CB. Call it whatever you want, just replace your Stand and Drool hesitation with Belly Laugh!
Have you ever read the Ringworld novels? Excellent stuff.
Regarding the Sense of Humor upgrade, note the ONCE PER GAME comment.

Lol yep, any guy who can stay one step ahead of the international date line to celebrate the hour of his birth for 24 straight hours is my kind of guy. And I concur Larry Niven is tha shit I inherited some of his books when a family friend passed away and I've enjoyed them ever since (I also inherited 4 seasons of ST:TNG as well as her appartment which you New Yorkers consider akin to winning the lottery).

Never read Ringworld. The only Niven I ever read was Cathouse and the first Man-Kzin War short story book, which by the way has the greatest text on the back cover:
Once upon a time, in the earliest days of interplanetary exploration, an unarmed human vessel was set upon by a warship from the planet Kzinhome of the fiercest warriors in Known Space. This was a fatal mistake for the Kzinti, of course; they learned the hard way that the reason humanity had given up war was that they were so very, very good at it. Thus began the Man-Kzin Wars. Now, several centuries later, the Kzinti are about to get yet another lesson in why it pays to be polite to those hairless monkeys from planet Earth.
Always makes me yell out, "Fuck yeah you hairy bitches! Step back! Step the fuck back!"
But back to the topic at hand, that makes sense as a Trait (the stand and laugh). It makes a lot of sense in fact. However, making sense of humor a call on trait is just you being mean to me. You know that right Luke?

Keep it on topic, Master Derailer.
