Did I miss where wounds are discussed?

Is there any continuity with failed healing, old wounds, etc?

In fact, i guess another question would be, is there any sense of timing? How much time goes by between fights?

I believe the rules state that all wounds are healed between battles.

Yep you totally missed it.

3) Wound Penalties are now as follows:

A Superficial Wound now causes a +1 Ob to all tests. Further Superficial Wounds Penalties do not accumulate. However, 3 Superficial Wounds still rolls over to the equivalent of -1D and the +1 Ob is removed. The fourth Superficial Wound will again effect the +1 Ob, however.

A Light wound equals -1D.
A Midi wound equals -2D.
A Severe equals -3D.
A Traumatic equals -4D.
A Mortal Wound equals certain death!

Shrug It Off!
During a fight, you may take 2 actions to "Shrug Off" a Superficial wound. Test your health versus Obstacle 2. If successful, the +1 Ob is ignored until after the combat is over. Rollover still applies. You may also Shrug Off a single -1D penalty, whether caused by 3 Supies, 1 Light, or part of a more serious wound. This takes 4 actions and is an Ob 4 Health Test.

All wounds are healed between fights.

Time has no meaning in The Arena. All armor gets fixed, all wounds healed, all equipment restored.

However, if anyone asks me if they can get Practice tests, I will send Web spider out to devour his eyeballs!

Now that is completely reasonable, but how about training to OPEN new skills? I mean is it consievable that anyone would be daft enough to try and work through beginner's luck in the arena? Furthermore how does one even use beginer's luck to say learn Tae Poong Do? Hey ref; "I practice falling down and getting up real fast....ALOT"

Since right now the all-time champion has two wins, I'm not sure this is an issue.

Besides which we'd then have to worry about Advancement tests too.

As I listed in the Rules, advancement is like normal, but it's up to you to keep track. This goes for learning new skills. For instance, Stiga just picked up Koron'das' dagger, though he doesn't know how to use it. Should he decide to try it out in the arena during a combat, he certainly will begin to learn the Dagger skill.

Special Martial Arts like TPD can only be learned from a master. Therefore, if you didn't burn up your Champion with it, he will never learn it.

Please go back and re-read the sticky.

Survive and Learn!

Advancement for Stats, Skills, and Attributes will be handled normally. You must keep track of advancement yourself.

1) You may only earn one test per skill/stat/attribute used in a Challenge. If you earned different types of tests (Routine, Difficult, or Challenging), choose one from among them. If you used your Sword Skill ten times in a combat earning all three types of tests, you may only choose one of them to count towards advancing the Sword skill.

2) Use the charts on pages 51-51 to determine the level of the test earned.

edit: egads I almost broke the forum, LOL
