Called Shots come into question... discussed elsewhere?

I find the stated called shot rules do not work. it does not take into account someone wearing gauntlets or bracers and assumes that all people will wear armor on their chest.

I prefer something i saw luke doing at origins... the defender choses what body part he' putting forward and the GM may adjudicate when that might change due to manuevering, falling, etc. This is really cool because you can say "hey i'm putting my bracers in the way."

I also like the idea of moving the hit location AFTER you gather successes. Thus you can decide to allocate die to Adds or moving your hit location.

Any Champion not wearing full protection gets what he deserves!

Gauntlets and bracers and other accessories are covered under the Partial Armor rules, anyway.

Also, I purposely ignored those rules as they would DRASTICALLY slow down the Arena. Consider how books are translated into movies. Some things work, other don't.

The Arena is brutal and so are the Rules.

I've got to say Kublai is right. Stuff would slow to a crawl as the referee would have to contact players regarding the distribution of their successes, possibly multiple times per Volley...
