So I got a whopping 1 response to the BW Sci-fi thread, it's understandable it was a very narrow genre. So what would you like to see run? I'm up to do a fantasy or sci-fi. I can do pulpy to fantastic. Ultimately it's up to the players to choose what's going to make them happy. For me I just want a chance to run BW in a controlled environment before trying to spring it on my group. So with that said, I ask all of you, if you could join a PbP game what's it going to take to get you involved? Don't post if you're not interested in actually joining because once I get a good idea of what everyone wants we'll discuss it further and then try to get a game going. It doesn't have to be a lot of people I would start with 2 people.

I'd like to play in an urban-based medieval fantasy game. Oh, I also think dwarves, elves, and orcs are played out, but I can compromise on that if there's some who doesn't think it's 'fantasy' enough without them. :?

I agree, elves, dwarves, and orc while canon are a bit old. I can deliver a straight human game or change it up with some alternate player races. As for the urban setting, are you thinking "political/intrigue" or something else?

I'm fine with urban fantasy. Plenty of scope there. I would be fine with a political/intrigue game or a more straight adventure tale.

Hmm how does something akin to rennaisance Venice sound? A game of houses? How about we create a ficticicous city and allow player's to make up a noble house. We sit down together (metaphorically) and decide on the house's background and holdings and then let the players contribute to that house as it vies for power. Each player can be a minor noble all fromt he same house they must work together to achieve the house's goals but maybe they also plot serperately to eventually lead the house? Of course all characters and BITs will be public knowledge but the players must play as if the characters know only what they uncover in the game. How does this sound?

Hey guys, I'm just slipping in as I don't have time to play. But this is a great setup for a campaign. In fact, Kublai, Drozdal, phredd and I recently completed a campaign in a very similar vein. We talk about it a little here (http://www.indie-rpgs.com/viewtopic.php?t=13633). There may be some inspiration in it for you.

I remember reading that campaign. It sounds like a great setting for a game and I'd be willing to give it a try.

Verrain and DaGreatJL are the first two players, I can start with two but I'd like more. I'll be posting campaign info to the PbP section throughout the day.
