Hey guys, I am trying to start a podcast all about players and the Burning games (BW, BE, MG ect.) and what I am looking for is a logo for the show. All I really want is a burning wheel with "Burningcast" over it. If you are interested in helping us out let me know and we will give you a shout out on our first episode!
We are also looking for interviews with players in general and BW GMs. If you would be interested in coming on the show and talking about your experience playing games or running BW we would love to have you on. Also if you play with a player who to you exemplifies what it means to you to be a good player we would love to interview them as well!
We will also be looking around the boards for fun new LPs, settings and hacks. If you have a hack, setting or LP that you are particularly proud of let us know and we will either feature it on the show or have you on to talk about it. We are also looking to answer your BW questions the best we can so if you have a question you would like us to cover on the show ask it here or email me jmhpfan at gmail dot com.
Any comments or questions about the show can be left here or sent to my email. We hope to have the show up and running in a few weeks!
Awesome! Let me know if we can help in any way.

We would love to have you on the show for an interview! Also if no one with some artistic talent steps up and makes an awsome new logo for us I would love to use an older BW logo and just put our podcast name on it if thats ok with you.
Well, I love seeing new interpretations of the wheel. We have some good illustrators on the boards. I hope someone steps up.

Hey J,
Need any advice? Have you got a handle on hosting, equipment, and organization? I'd be happy to yack about any of that stuff, via Skype, or email. Also what does J stand for, or would you prefer I just use your first initial?
Edit: I forgot I have this podcast (http://www.theoryfromthecloset.com/shows/how_to_podcast.mp3) I'm not quite happy with I did at a convention a few years ago, and here's the bullet points (http://www.theoryfromthecloset.com/shows/How_to_Start_your_Own_Podcast.pdf).
Of course I haven't confirmed you need help. Heh.

Hey Josh,
Cool. Going to PM's to discuss the rest, and not take over the thread with two people planning.
If there's anything I can do to help, let me know.

I just want to add my whole-hearted support to this endeavor.
If there's any chance of including any BW actual play audio, much the better :-)
Count me in for one subscriber !

We may be doing AP sections if there is something we want to highlight and we will definately be doing AP reports on the games we are playing.

Got the website up and also have an email address for the show burningcast@gmail.com We have recorded some great stuff for our first episode and I am working on mixing it all together! Keep your eye on http://burningcast.wordpress.com for updates!
Are you only looking for BW stuff, or BW/BE/MG?

We're definitely talking about Mouse Guard! I proposed to include a special segment about Mouse Guard in each episode, which is the main reason why I agreed to help with this. And I love talking about Burning Empires, certainly about the BW game we're doing with some BE infection mechanics.

Looking forward to episode 1! With BW, BE, MG and Blossoms etc, you sure won't run out of things to talk about.

Indeed.
I want to hear about the relation between the rules and the setting, and how they both complement each other. That is one of my favorite things about The Burning Wheel games.

I'm giving you some Artha, Josh, for taking this from concept to concrete product in a matter of a few short weeks. Take some Fate *AND* Persona points for this one.
You guys are fucking hilarious!
"Indie boy!" Hah!

That joke may have something to do with the fact that I am currently reading through the back log of the webcomic "Questionable Content"
Only comment is that Josh's mic (or something related on his end) is making his voice a little muted and filtered. Aaron's voice was crystal clear. Looking forward to more!

Doesn't seem to be coming through on Itunes. Can I only listen to it on the web?

The show is still awaiting approval from Apple. In the meantime you can still subscribe through iTunes by subscribing manualy. With iTunes open, go to the "Advanced" menu and select "Subscribe to Podcast", a dialog box will open asking for the URL of the show feed, put "http://burningcast.podbean.com/feed/" in the box and click OK and iTunes should start downloading Episode 0 for you!

OMG you guys are funny, "I was the guy who played the priest!" That killed me.
It's wonderful putting a voice to the players.
Hey, where do I sign up for some Skype games? I think, after hearing this, it's the first time Skype sounded viable!

I'm also running Mouse Guard every Tuesday night, 8-11 Pacific Time. And another patrol on Skype every OTHER Saturday night 8-11 Eastern Time. The best way to convince my group of players to participate in a proper BW game would be to join us for some Mouse Guard & show them how it's played.

Enjoyable! I'm looking forward to more episodes. I'd recommend not going longer than 40 mins, but I could be wrong.

It depends on the content, and who you're trying to get to listen. For instance if they interview Luke, Thor, Dro, etc... they likely want to go as long as it takes. Perhaps they want to chop it into 40 minute bites, I don't know, but I'm fairly certain everyone here would want to here every bit of those episodes. Not to mention that the most popular podcasts tend to be an hour or more... I'm not talking the RPG sphere here, but podcasting in general. Look at Leo Laportes stuff, This Week In, Adam Carolla, etc... all an hour minimum.

I prefer a one/two hours podcast. 40 min is nothing.
I remember a three-hour RPG spanish podcast. That was awesome. :-D

We are currently trying to hit the half-hour to hour window for the show. We actually cut our interview with Luke into two parts that we will put out in Episodes 1 and 2.
Did I just say that we have an interview with Luke in Episode 1? Move along, nothing to see here! (;

Oh yeah, I was going to say that interviews are the exception. I love it when they go super long.
